MANISTEE — Manistee Space Public Colleges will host a digital ribbon slicing occasion unveiling its new Little one and Adolescent Well being Heart on Wednesday.
This onsite well being facility on the Manistee Center Excessive Faculty was established to offer entry for college kids ages 5 to 21 to medical and psychological well being companies.
“When the fundamental well being care wants of our college students are met, they’re higher capable of carry out in class,” stated Ron Stoneman, MAPS superintendent. “Providing accessible look after each preventative and acute care inside our district, we intend to offer our college students with a holistic strategy for total wellbeing.”
MAPS Little one and Adolescent Well being Heart presents complete major care and behavioral well being companies and might be open all year-round. The middle’s companions sought to create entry to companies wanted for MAPS college students of all ages in recognition of Manistee County’s rating knowledge charges which can be increased than the nationwide common for well being impression issues akin to youngsters in poverty, proportion of people uninsured and frequent psychological misery.
